Superior

Located 22 miles northwest of Denver, Superior was originally a Colorado mining town named after the “superior” quality of coal found in the area in the late 1800s. As the mines closed in 1945, the town evolved into a quiet farming and ranching community. Superior’s population has more than tripled in the past few years, rapidly expanding into a bustling housing-focused community.

Located among the rolling hills 5 minutes from Boulder and 30 minutes from Denver, Superior is in an exceptionally desirable location. The City has easy access to both of these larger cities that offer a wide array of recreational and cultural opportunities, as well as world-class shopping dining and nightlife.

Text Box: Situated within minutes of the Rocky Mountains, residents enjoy spectacular views while also being bordered by Boulder Open Space, which provides miles of trails perfect for hiking, biking or a quiet afternoon stroll. Superior is approximately seven square miles in area with 540 acres of park and open space and 25 miles of trails. The city is home to both large and small retail outlets, as well as restaurants, movie theaters and an indoor ice skating rink.

Future plans call for additional commercial and retail development, multi-family residential units and single-family homes. The newest development in the area is Rock Creek Ranch, featuring thousands of outstanding single and multi-family homes.
